So Fargo season 2 takes place in 1979, which means there’s plenty of Ben Rolland style cars and clothes. But one car in particular has got me smitten.
Dodd’s ‘73 Imperial LeBaron. Holy fuck what a car. Powered by a (just) pre-emissions Wedgehead 440ci V8 making 225 rumbley horses through a 727 Torqueflite 3 speed, goddamn right it’s a car that’ll put enough hair on your chest to show off through the unbuttoned top half of your paisley shirt. Plus in that beautiful gold paint with a white vinyl top? Yes plz. Not to mention the ‘73 Imperial was the longest non-limo postwar production car at the time. As much as I love caddy, I have always lusted after an Imperial, and Dodd Gerhardt’s is certainly a welcome sight on my television each week.

Tons of good cars on TV right now. Have you seen Blunt Talk ? Whoever wrote that shit is definitely a gearhead.

Heard good things about it, but haven’t got a chance to see it yet.
You can't hate a fuselage Mopar, it's impossible. This is hands down my favorite Imperial, and anyone who says this car isn't cool, can kiss my ass.

I need to get into this show. And I need that Coat and Hat!
There was more than enough Torque out of that 440 to move that car. How fast do you really want to go on 7” wide tires anyway?
